This painting was created for a client who feels utterly at home when her toes are in the sand and she stands before a roaring sea. She captured a beautiful photo that referenced her love for the beach and allowed it to be my source of initial inspiration. The powerful wonder of of the unending sky and the musical feeling of waves crashing on the shore are illustrated with playful, abstracted brushwork and color choices. Hints of metallic bronze and gold mingle with turquoise, teal, and varying shades of green and blue to reflect the magical, immersive performance we get to experience when we visit the ocean.
