Born in the Pacific Northwest, the love of rain runs through my veins. This piece serves as a token of my awe and wonder at the brilliant scientific process of rain, as well as the beautifully poetic attributes that the experience of rain that cleanse and nourish and revitalize both our land and the life on it, as well as the soul.
An all-comsuming, fragrant, melodic rainfall echoes the rawness of my deeply-feeling spirit and feels like a thoughtful gift from God, reminding me that He understands me more deeply than even I ever could. Its a brilliant reminder that I am seen and cared for and nourished, always, along with all other living beings that I am connected to on the earth. Breathing in the sweet freshness that only rain can bring is represented in the tender greens and blues that flow from the top of this work all the way to the bottom. The brilliant gold acts as a representation of my awe and reverence for the mystifying peace rain brings so effortlessly.
