I don’t often paint very representationally since I lean toward the playful, interpretive nature of abstraction, but there are times and projects that simply call for a more specific approach to painting.

This special commission serves as a visual memory bank or painted photo album, containing all of the client’s very favorite elements and landmarks of their exciting trip along the Rhine in Europe.

With plenty of the client’s own photographs and detailed descriptions, I was able to construct a painted collage with a unique perspective on this couple’s most cherished memories of their year.
