Continuing to delve into my reverence for stillness and rest, this painting is a reminder of the wonder we can find when we allow ourselves a moment to be be overcome by something as common, but as majestic as, light streaming through the leaves of a tree. 

The deep, moody blues of the abstracted sky relay the reminder that everything doesn’t need to be cheery and ideal to find these moments of wonderment. The vibrant greens and shimmering golds still dance across the canvas in pleasing contrast. 

The moments of wonder are there in the midst of it all.

If only we’ll stop to notice.
