Magic. This painting is all about magic. It’s about the brilliance embedded in every little thing and second and piece and element and person in the world, from moments deemed “ordinary” to encounters that appear to be once in a lifetime.

Like a child with their nose inches from a lady bug, studying each, individual spot with amazement, Moss and Gold references the magnitude of the minute, the sheer majesty of the life we get to live on this giant, gorgeous rock floating in the abyss.

Life is as beautifully simple and as intricately complex as a trillion infinitesimal particles that make up a tiny patch of moss on a forest log - so small and seemingly simple, but glowingly exquisite. This painting references the awe we carry with us as human beings and the endless possibility for a radiant life if we bring that capacity for wonder to all that we experience. Both moss and life are straightforward, but brilliant.
