Continuing my celebration of contrast, this piece further explores the concept of life meeting darkness. A desaturated, low-lit backdrop of deep greens, golds, and navies is met with a lively host of teals, turquoises, and blues, along with copper accents, that bring this dusk-inspired setting to vibrant life.

This piece serves as a reminder of the gratitude-filled beauty that can be found when we accept both the light and the dark; the fullness that can be had when we embrace the subdued moments as well as the vibrant, easy-to-love parts of life. With nothing but bright, saturated blues, this painting would exists as a flat, bland representation of flowers. Among a field of rich darkness, though, this painting bursts to life.
